Covid-19: Zambia confirms first cases, first Sub-Saharan death is announced

Zambia has confirmed its first two cases of Covid-19.

Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya says it was a Zambiam couple who had traveled to France.

The husband is showing symptoms while the wife is asymptomatic. Their children tested negative for the virus which made Zambiathe 147th country to record a confirmed case.

Meanwhile, sub-Saharan Africa recorded its first death after the passing of a patient in Burkina Faso.
