Covid-19 claims 21 year-old as Zimbabwe deaths rise to 8

Zimbabwe registered its youngest death of person who passed away with Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care reported a facility death of a 21 year-old woman with no history of travel. The Harare woman had co-morbidities.

This came on a day in which Zimbabwe registered 73 new cases, 55 of which came from South Africa, three from Botswana, three from Mozambique, two from USA and one from Australia as well as another from Zambia. Eight are local cases who are isolated.

Five new recoveries were reported.

At this stage there are 698 confirmed cases of which 181 have recovered and eight have died in Zimbabwe. That means there are 509 active cases, the majority of whom are in quarantine.
