Wine Review: Kumusha Wines Pinotage 2020

This is a wine which works for my palate easily. The Kumusha Wines Pinotage 2020 simply just works with a range of meats. I tried it with pizza too and it was a treat. I particularly enjoyed it with pork chops (yes it is red) although it did well with chakalaka sausage too. So foods with flavour get a bit extra, which might be down to some hint of spice. On its own is comfortable and a easy drink, full bodied as it is.

Kumusha in the Zimbabwean Shona language translates to ‘your home’, ‘your roots’ or ‘your origin’. Through a collaborative process where I respect the vine, the winemaker and the consumer, I try to build a brand of wines that represent and honour their roots.– Tinashe Nyamudoka, Sommelier (Kumusha Wines)
