UK MP George Galloway has told Novara Media‘s Aaron Bastani that Tony Blair shared with him a desire to invade Zimbabwe.
In a wide-ranging, Bastani asked, “You mentioned Tony Blair. Did he ever want to invade Zimbabwe?”
“Yeah he told me so,” Galloway said while he picked up his glass of water. “He told me so.”
He then continued.
“I will tell you where exactly it was. Outside the gentleman’s lavatory in the library corridor, just a couple of weeks before the [Iraqi] invasion, when I had my last attempt to buttonhole him. He said to me, I used to be able to mimic it.
“He said to me, If I could I would invade, Zimbabwe, Burma – that’s before he went to work for Burmese junta – Iran, there may have been another. There may have been another, that’s so long ago. But those three I can testify. He said that if he could, he would invade.”
The late former President Robert Mugabe had often been dismissed by many when he made claims of such an invasion.
Galloway may have proven him right.
