What You Stole – A Black African’s Response

A combination of Google and a friend helped us along to a response by another blogger to Shane’s rant in which he claimed whites had not stolen anything from blacks.

Ngwana Mosadi responds to the blog which we posted here, by talking about what he believes was stolen.

I’ve just read a blog post, certainly written by a white person, claiming that white people never stole anything from Africa and basically insinuating that we should be bowing at their feet. That we “primitive idiots” should be glad that we were “discovered” by the all knowing western settlers because they taught us the value of natural resources and economics and land ownership. That Africans have never achieved anything, as Katt Williams would put it, “in the history of niggerdom. “

Now, I’ll agree his post had some valid points. The settlers did bring a far more rapid pace of “development” with them courtesy of the industrial revolutions they went through. They left us with an infrastructure. What they robbed us of, however, is our evolution.

The writer points to the example of Germany, decimated by war and within 15 short years rebuilt as an economic power house. Germany had the same advantage as the settlers when they landed on African shores. They had all of the knowledge of what the revolutions across Europe had achieved and they EVOLVED to the next level – economically speaking. Africans never had that advantage.

We were taken, by the settlers, from “the brink of the stone age” as our fearless writer put it, to the very forefront of world development. The settlers stole our evolution. We never were afforded the opportunity as Africans to figure out what kind of world society and world citizens we wanted to be, those decisions where merely thrust upon us by people who had no context or understanding of how our society worked.

People who were jaded by wars, greed and revolutions. They stole our evolution. Africa was doing just fine when the settlers came along. We were developing at a pace that suited us. We were evolving. That’s what the settlers stole.

Now that I’ve given a civillized, educated response to the racist bullshit in your “well written piece” that serves as clear proof that white people ” stand up together and fuck them (blacks) up and take back what is ours (whites) and that is this country we (whites) built and fought for WHITE SOUTH AFRICA”, I have one thing and only on thing to say to you: God bless you, God bless Africa, and God bless it’s people. Idiot.
