ZOL Zimbabwe takes over the sponsorship of the Harare International Festival of the Arts main stage this year for the first time.
In spite of the Internet services company being involved with HIFA over the last five years on the theatre programme this will be the organisation’s biggest involvement in the six-day extravaganza.
From the email sent out, it seems as if there is a huge emphasis on upload at the grounds. The WiFi access, powered by ZOLspot will have speeds of up to 5MB for uploads and up to 1MB for downloads per person. The network will cover the whole of the HIFA grounds.
During HIFA, ZOL will run the ZOLselfie competition:
All you have to do is take a photo (selfie) of yourself or you and some friends (or a special somebody) and post it onto our ZOL Facebook wall (facebook.com/ZOLconnect). You can also put it on your Twitter with the hashtag #LiveLikeThis. Once you are done, you will have the chance to win amazing prizes including free internet, an ipad Air, dongles and so much more.Even more exciting; you and your friends will help choose a winner for the competition. All you do is get onto Instagram and follow ZOLconnect. Then like the selfies you like which will be posted daily during HIFA. The selfies with the most likes have the highest chances of winning.
HIFA runs from 28 April to 3 May under the theme ARTiculate.
