Zimbabwe’s Emmanuel Mbirimi gets nomination for ‘The Letter’ performance

Zimbabwean actor Emmanuel Mbirimi has been nominated for his performance in Joe Njagu and Daves Guzha’s drama, The Letter.

Mbirimi plays Simon and it is for this that Sotigui awards in Burkina Faso later this year. The category is the Sotigui of the Best Actor of Southern Africa Fiction Length Film.

In our review of the movie we said of Mbirimi:

He is comfortably normal, Mbirimi ably carrying a patient script even in scenes in performers not as skilled as he is.
