UK-based Zimbabwean singer Kelvin Jones has reached a whopping million views on YouTube.
The 19 year-old’s song Call You Home has close to 900,000 views while covers of Aloe Blacc’s I Need a Dollar and Superstitious by Stevie Wonder have also received more than 100,000 views between them – taking him past the one million mark.
His song has also received a mention Good Morning America. He moved to the UK 10 years ago to Stevenage. He is studying civil engineering at Portsmouth University but is considering quitting to pursue music full time.
Of course if he as in Zimbabwe his parents would have a go at him about that? Kusiya chikoro kuti uite zvemagitare?, they would say.
