Zimbabwe Jazz scene on CNN Inside Africa this weekend

Zimbabwe is featured on this weekend’s Inside Africa on CNN and it has a look at Harare’s Jazz scene.

The programme info is as follows:

Zimbabwe Jazz. Rising from the dance halls and daily life of Harare, the redefined rhythms and stylings of American jazz have unleashed a whole new era of creativity on the continent.

Recorded at the back end of 2017 it features Tahle Wedzinza, Buhle and Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana at the Back to Jazzics concert which takes place weekly thanks to the Zimbabwe Jazz Community Trust at Chez Zandi, Alliance Francaise.

You will have to wake up early though. The first screening are as follows:

• Saturday 27 January 2018 – 05.30hrs and 20.30hrs
• Sunday 28 January 2018 –  06.30hrs and 13.30hrs
• Monday 29 January 2018 – 03.30hrs
