Zimbabwe-born, US top 20 Billboard chart star Carlprit will perform for the Book Cafe pop-up party at Pariah State in Avondale Harare this Friday 18 June.
He will be joined on stage by his brother, the legendary rapper, Metaphysics.
Carlprit reached global status in 2009 when he featured on Cascada’s Evacuate the Dancefloor where he provided the rap. The track hit number 5 in Germany, topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart and was the second top forty hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also was number one on the UK singles chart. It subsequently received a nomination for best dance video at the 2010 MTV Music Awards.
His solo track Fiesta reached number 1 on the French airplay charts and in the top 100 in Germany, France and Switzerland’s single sales.
Carlprit has collaborated with dance royalty including Whigfield, Mike Candy, Darius & Finlay, Modana, Manian to name a few.
The show is part the six weeks of Book Cafe at Pariah State.
