Ziff calls for film submissions

The 18th edition of the Zimbabwe International Film Festival is on this October and the call has been made for submissions.

The theme this year which runs from 1 to 8 October 2016, is Reel, Sound &  Music, a special focus on sound and music in producing films. Global submissions that speak this theme are invited, although other films that do not fit into this purview will be included.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Best feature
• Best screen play
• Best director
• Best actor in a leading role
• Best actress
• Special jury prize
• Best documentary (best film, director and special jury prize)
• Best short ( best film, director, actor, actress and special prize)

Ziff is also encouraging the strong participation of quality that favourably compares with international films.
