ZBC gets license for new TV station

Public broadcaster, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has acquired a license for a new TV station.

In a public notice, it said, “Take notice that, in terms of section to (1 1) of the Broadcasting Services Act (Chapter 12:06), the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation hereby publishes its license for the provision of a new television channel called Zimbabwe National Television (ZNTV).”

ZNTV will be added to its ZTV and Jive TV portfolio. It also operates six radio stations.

There is no indication as to what platform ZNTV will be available, and what it will offer outside the two TV stations available.
