Winky D attacked in Kwekwe, show abandoned

Zim Dancehall star Winky D was forced to abandon his show after missiles were thrown onto the stage as he was about to begin his performance at Kwekwe’s Solomon Lifestyle Cafe.

In a video doing the rounds online, the singer is seen surrounded by a few people in army fatigue and others and about to get on stage.

Everything seems normal with a screaming crowd in the background until we hear bottles crashing onto the stage and the singer is blocked from view of the camera after which we assume he is whisked away.

Speculation is rife that it is linked to his politically charged single ‘Kasong KeJecha’.

We reached out to the organisers of the show and had not gotten a position yet.
