Wimbledon, French Open winner Maguruza chills in Vic Falls

Wimbledon and French Open winner Garbine Maguruza more than slid into Zimbabwe’s DMs.

She visited the revered Victoria Falls recently.

Images on he Instagrama see the Spanish tennis player at the airport, at the Falls themselves, on a river ride, at The Kingdom Hotel and the iconic entrance installation.

She posted, “Last week I took a backpack, [for] some changes and without thinking twice, our first stop was Zimbabwe”.

Maguruza won the French Open in 2016 and Wimbledon in 2017. She is currently ranked number nine but reached number one in 2017. Maguruza is currently out of action due to an injury.

She is the latest in an increasing flow of international public figures to visit the resort town in Zimbabwe since the opening up after the big pause.
