So after dealing with some of the shock that came from the fall-out between Alick Macheso and Tafadzwa Mapako following the end of the marriage, we decided to have something of a think about it.
By a think, we meant we went about asking people about this whole mess. Did it make sense? We trolled a couple of our Malawian friends since Macheso has some of that Chewa blood going on and they said they had no idea what that as about.
We even found a guy knows a guy who used to hang out at Ximex Mall and knows a n’anga and he says he didn’t know anything about it. WE probably should have spoken to the n’anga, right?
Anyway the thing in question is that Macheso is said by Tafadzwa to engage in the habit of ejaculating in an infant’s mouth to cure nhova (fonatanele). Creepy hey.
Tell you what. Social media is in a state of meltdown right now. Journalist Ranga Mberi is at odds as to what to do with his ‘vast Macheso collection. Social media guru Mike Tashaya wants an investigation into the whole matter and if found true, Macheso must be thrown into jail.
Then it came down to talking to women and the funny thing is that quite a few of them simply dismissed it as a case of a woman scorned. They believe that Tafadzwa is just pissed off and have even reduced it to a case of love potion juju from the lady gone wrong!
Hmmmm…
Look, we are not suggesting that she has lied and we think an investigation into the matter must take place, but what if she has. Allegations of that sort can land a man in jail. It’s the sort of thing that can ruin a person for a while. One social media user said they were deleting all of Macheso’s music from their library and wanted nothing to do with him. When we put it to her that it was possible that this was not true her response was, ‘There is no smoke without fire.’
Whatever happens, this is not going away anytime soon.
