We really enjoyed the little session from Osborne at #HIFA2018’s Hivos stage

Samantha Nengomasha sounded excited in the one breath she could muster to express herself during the show by Jam Signal front man Osborne Matenganzara.

Osborne on stage at #Hifa

A signature he has expertly put together a set that ignited the Global Quarter on the Hivos Open Lounge and Stage.

“It’s like a fringe within the festival”, Hivos’s Masimba Biriwasha told us.

Said Nengomasha also fro Hivos after we asked what the event that day was about (the first she put together, she told us):

Today’s theme was a panelist discussion on Women Empowered for leadership and the guest speaker was Gilanis Changachirere from Institute for Young Women Development.

We caught the tail end of that disussion and what we heard was the use of art as a device to deal with women’s issues.

And then we got the full blow from Osborne aka I am King, as he set his awesome sax sound accompanying your favourite afro-pop hits.

Check the stage out if you can at Hifa 2018 which runs until 6 May.
