WATCH: The Wailers performing ‘Zimbabwe’ in 2019

The Wailers performed the track they did as Bob Marley’s band called Zimbabwe at the Avalon Theatre in Maryland, USA this past Africa Day (25 May, 2019).

With Josh David Barrett on lead vocals, the remaining members of the iconic band did justice to the song that became a rallying call up to and after the independence of Zimbabwe from colonial rule.

Marley himself, performed the song on Independence Day in 1980 in Zimbabwe.

The song has become a reminder of the values of a country that for many seems to have lost its way a bit.
