On the back of the YouTube success (it has over 100k views now) of her interpretation of Winky D’s Musarova Bigman, Gemma Griffiths has come at us with another indie take on a pop song.

This time she interprets Jah Prayzah’s Mdhara Vachauya.

Gemma has soul and she exudes a lot of this is in what she turns into a sultry ballad about affection missed. She is insanely awesome when she writes:

I will give you love, I know you’ll take it
I won’t refuse you No, I know we’ll make it.

And you know it isn’t just the words but how her soul digs so much out of all of this makes it come alive. You kinda feel like you want to be the ‘mdhara’ in this instance, No?
