Vybz Kartel loses appeal but might get his sentence reduced

Popular Jamaican star Vybz Kartel lost his appeal against a standing murder conviction.

The Jamaican court of appeal also upheld convictions for his co-accused, Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John.

The court delivered the verdict via video call to his lawyers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It gave his legal team several days to submit material for a new sentence. Legal experts say they believe his 41-year sentence has been reduced and it is now down to how many years.

Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer was convicted of the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. His incarceration has not stopped him releasing a slew of hits though…
