Vybz Kartel Convicted Of Murder

Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel has been found guilty of the August 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

Three of four Vybz’s co-accused were also found guilty of the beating that resulted in Williams’ death.

A jury of 11 returned 10-1 verdict of guilty against the star.

The beating took place at Vybz’s –  real name Adija Palmer – home. Shawn Campbell(a.k.a. Shawn Storm), Kahira Jonesand Andre St. John were found guilty with him while Shane Williams was found not guilty.

The four face life imprisonment.

A representative of the star says they will be appealing the against the verdict citing corruption by the police in handling the case.
