Urban grooves pioneer Sanii Makhalima spoke to our friends at Nafuna TV about the evolution of the genre.
He describes the different periods of the growth of the genre looking at the various phases that have brought it to where it is.
It gives interesting insight into the the growth of Zimbabwe’s music landscape in the urban areas.
What we found entertaining was the ownership of the term urban grooves. As in, who started urban grooves? The answer is interesting.
