Zimbabwe dancehall man of the moment Tocky Vibes has had some of his funny business from the past revealed.
Zimbabwe Mail is reporting that the 21 year-old Mhai singer allegedly got a thirteen year-old Marondera girl three years ago.
Snap. Not only is he not taking care of the girl but his response when quizzed by that paper was:
Jah Man (sic), you can go ahead and publish that I don’t care about newspapers; people will read it and only remember it for two days. Ini ndichitoenda mberi (I will continue to make headlines). I mind my business.
Sadly that is the thing isn’t it? We will talk about this for a few days and it will eventually go away and people will go back to their lives. Unless something changes, then young Linda James will still not be able to get access to Tocky, if her story is true.
All one has to do is weather the storm and if there is no court action or anything of that sort then they do not have to change anything.
It is a lot disappointing. However it is who we are.
It is strange though. And Tocky… Behave!
Quick side-note: At this point it isn’t a point blank admission but the response is disappointing especially dealing with someone who has been bringing a positive vibe to Zim dancehall.
