Tocky Vibes Pulls Another Fast One As He Disappoints Fans Again

Zimbabwean dancehall cat Tocky Vibes is constantly making all the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

For a young man who seemed to have had the whole country eating out of his hand, this latest episode is just another anecdote in the annals of a career that seems to spiraling out of control.

So there was the thing with the allegations around theunderage girl which he responded to with a middle finger (excuse the pun).

Then he reportedly refused to perform at a show because the crowd was too small.

Then there was the weirdly poor performance at the Mafikizolo show. Like it was that other level weird.

Then come Monday night, on a bill with Guspy Warrior at Book Cafe. The show is on for 2 hours or so and our beloved Tocky still hasn’t taken to the stage. An increasingly restless crowd awaits although there are other, capable performs.

He comes on at 10.30. He is gone at 11pm. Not even a goodbye or nothing. Gone.

Well, who knows what will happen next. From speaking to organisers it doesn’t seem as if he was meant to just do a short set.

What’s going on with the young man? For those who think we are haters, we really like his music but his attitude is eating into all that goodwill that was building because of the content of his lyrics.

We’d like to write more positive things about him but he is making it hard.
