Known most by his poetic adroitness, Munsaka Fortune is considered one of the most influential literary fecunds in the illustrious days of Zimbabwe. Through his innate inclinations as a writer, editor and Literary Coach, Munsaka remains to inspire artists of all levels across the globe. As the founder and Director of CREATIVE MINDS ALIVE which seeks to identify, groom and nurture talents of upcoming artists, Munsaka is determined to transform lives through all possible means. Born in 1995 in the hinterlands of Binga, Fortune attended Mqabuko Nkomo High School (Kezi) and graduated in the United College of Education (Bulawayo) as a professional school teacher. He has appeared in the local and international papers which include Mt Kenyan Times Newspaper (Kenya), Abhyuday The Rising (India) and many more. Munsaka a Gourd of Consciousness Poetry member has authored and published several books and poetry collections including “Stranger Threads”, ”Affections At Zenith” and “Echoes of Africa” and he is still applying sweat as one of the editors in many other works to be birthed under PRE-DAWN Books a division of CREATIVE MINDS ALIVE-Zim.

Bus Stop Nights
Seconds birthed minutes down to hours;
I waiting for you.
I thought it was you down Zupco door steps,
You with bags of love.
But each minute I waited,
Only the wheezing echoes visited my ears.
We expected you, fire flames and I on the roadside.
When Zupco arrived,
We scanned her intestines
In case she swallowed you before leaving Bulawayo.
We expected you, fire flames and I, on the roadside,
But only our neighbours exited her mouth.
If the longing of seeing you disappoints again,
At least I would help carry their bags of ezifela emlonyeni,
Maybe, they’ll spare a cup of sugar to cheat this Christmas day.
