THREE reasons we are excited about the Ngoma NeHosho Music Festival

A few days ago, music concern Ngoma Nehosho announced a new music festival to debut later this year.

The dates are 6 and 7 October 2017. That is all we know at this stage.

And we have three reasons we are excited

  1. Ngoma NeHosho gives quality – If you have ever been to a Ngoma NeHosho Live Sessions setup you will know what we are talking about. You get top quality live music from the recent Joss Stone experience to when they had Hugh Masekela, Oliver Mtukudzi, Bryan K, Victor Kunonga, Mokoomba to name a few. They have that attention to detail we like. And they organisers say the roster of artists billed for the show will be from all over the world.
  2. We need options – We effectively have three multi-day festivals in Harare. And we are including Christon Bank’s Miombo Magic and this gives us another thing to look forward to on the calendar. That vibe you get at a festival cannot replicated in a single 8 hour festival. The mode is what is good for the entertainment scene and helps fans and artists connect.
  3. We like things – A chance to tell more stories, start new legacies, tipple, meet familiar strangers, make new friends and hear people trying to spend time telling us what the organisers should have done better. Who would want to miss out on that?

We are proper amped for this.

Note: There are no call for artists this year. Next year there will be.
