These awesome movies are on Showmax from this December

Showmax has been adding new content and this December is no exception.

And quite a few movies are making it onto the platform, and we pick some of the most awesome of the lot, including the date they arrive.

Madagascar – 7 December 2023

Four spoiled animals from the New York Central Zoo escape with the unintentional help of four fugitive penguins. They subsequently find themselves in Madagascar amidst happy lemurs. And amon them of course is King Julian, Alex the Lion and more.

This 2005 family goodie never gets old and is now available for streaming on Showmax.

Penguins of Madagascar – 7 December 2023

Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private band together with a secretive crime-fighting organisation called The North Wind to thwart Dr Octavius Brine’s plan to destroy the penguin population of the world.

An offshoot of the 1995 classic, this 2014 laugh-a-thon will have your family in stitches. Available on Showmax now.

Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason – 18 December 2023

Bridget, a slacker, decides to turn her life around and maintains a log of her attempts, all the while looking for love. Along come not one but two suitors, getting her more than she bargained for.

This 2004 classic was at the height of the romcom season.

Girls Trip – 25 December 2023

Back To The Future 1-3 – 28 December 2023

So here is a fun fact. The sequels for this Michael J Fox-led cult classic were filmed over 11 months except for a three week hiatus between parts 2 and 3.
