Steve Harvey Apologises For Miss Universe Gaffe… But WTF

Steve Harvey used his twitter account to apologise for one of the most awkward moments in pageant history, ever.

You see, when they were announcing the winners, Harvey called Miss Colombia the winner. While she was basking in glory (momentary as it was) he was like erm, sorry, the winner is actually Miss Philippines.

Just like that.

On his Twitter he said:

I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake

Adding

I don’t want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants – they were all amazing

Watching the moment this morning, it was totally cringeworthy, like saying the wrong name at the altar.

Maybe the King of Comedy turned 90 days of no sex guy was just playing a prank.

But seriously though. Sure mistakes happen but not this monumental. This is epic life changing, gut wrenching weird and all that. It was awkward for both contestants really.
