Ster Kinekor Zimbabwe is looking for another home after it was forced to close its popular Sam Levy, Borrowdale cinema.

” We regret to inform you that our Sam Levy Village Cinema lease agreement, which lasted for an impressive 10 years, is expiring on the 30th of June 2024,” the company said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the landlord has made the unexpected decision to repurpose the space and shift its focus away from cinema.

“Nevertheless, the legacy is far from over and we are actively searching for a new, suitable location to carry on with our innovative business model.”

The Bulawayo and Joina City cinemas will continue to function while whilst it finalises its next location. It also suggested it could be looking at more than one.

Ster Kinekor Sam Levy has been home to quite a few launches because of its upmarket address.
