Zima-award winning dancehall artist Soul Jah Love did not get on stage at a show he was supposed headline at the Book Cafe on Friday night because, as is being claimed, the crowd was too small.
When we passed by earlier on at the venue around 9.30pm the place had a few patrons in with no sign of activity. None of the artists who were supposed to be opening for him were there although Soul Jah Love’s doormen were manning the entrance.
He later arrived and upon realising that few had waited for the show to start he reportedly shunted off into a cab and disappeared into the night.
It is a bit disappointing that Zim dancehall is copping this new crisis with honour where no-shows and egos are becoming the norm.
They seriously need to get a grip on it before people stop doing business with them.
