Zimbabwean producer Rodney ‘Rymez’ Hwingwiri has released the remix for his massive tune, Hurtin Me, for Stefflon Don.
The track pushed 600,000 units in four months and the remix will push its appeal even further is Jamaican stars Popcaan, Sizzla Kalonji and Sean Paul all get in on the act.
And he has a minted new deal with Sony/EMI which is a good look.
And he seems unfazed.
Rymez says:
I have been recently signed as a artist/producer by Sony and I am working with many big names. I was recently in the studio with american star Future and the Migos as well as looking to have a few more releases with Sean Paul.
Not that he is abandoning Afrobeats. You can hear its influence on Hurtin Me and he also says there were be a heap of new singles from the continent. And Rymez is on about Zimbabwe’s Yaya in a big way.
