Christian rapper Mudiwa divides a lot of opinion in the genre with a lot of heads habitually throwing shade at him.
In the beef with Stunner much was said about what is often referred to as cut and paste rap.
Whatever you say about Mudiwa he has his finger firmly on the pulse of popular culture in the creation of his sound. While Slayin is not a particular special track it wins in that it easy to listen to and enjoy. Cross-over appeal is the way to survive in the music game and Mudiwa understands that.
Mudiwa epitomises this when he says:
Ndirikutambwa mumabhawa, ndirimuchechi ndakagara.
You will find yourself bopping to this… even if you do not believe his message.
We can’t help but get annoyed by the New York cap on the artwork though…
