Netflix has announced that Queen Sono will come back for a second season.
Returning Showrunner and Director Kagiso Lediga tweeted:
Pearl Thusi, Vuyo Dabula, Sechaba Morojele, Chi Mhende, Loyiso Madinga, Rob Van Vuuren, Kate Liquorish, Khathu Ramabulana and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa are all expected to return for the highly anticipated season 2.
Thusi plays the titular character.
Queen Sono is Netflix’s first African original.
