The Zimbabwe Music Rights Association and the Zimbabwe Republic Police have teamed up to enforce copyright law specifically targetting commuter omnibus drivers.

The Two Entities Are Moving Around Harare Pick-Up & Drop Points Commonly Known As Ranks Issuing Copyright Music Licenses To Commercial Transport [i.e.] Buses, Commuter Omnibuses [Kombis] & Taxis.
The Operation Is An On-Going Exercise Until & Unless Every Commercial Transport That Plays Music Publicly Is Licensed. Just In The Central Business District [C.B.D] Of Harare There Are More Than Eight Thousand Kombis & Most Of Them Play Music Without Copyright Music Licenses When They Should Pay For The Use Of Music In Their Vehicles. The License Only Costs US$10.00 Half Yearly Which Ultimately Translates To US$20.00 Per Annum..
Well there you go. The thing that Zimura should do however, is spend time getting people to understand what copyright is, We know quite a few artists who have no idea what they have or do not have rights to.
