Media reports say that Congolese rhumba-rock legend Papa Wemba has died.
It is said he collapsed and died while performing on stage in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
Papa Wemba was in Ivory Coast as part of a show co-hosted by RFI and the group Magic System.
Footage released online shows Wemba collapsing and band members confused as to what was happening.
There has been no official confirmation of his death from his crew or Ivorian authorities.
He was 66.
