OPPORTUNITY: MTN Bushfire announces Short Film Celebration and you can enter yours

MTN Bushfire has announced a Short Film Celebration as part of this year’s edition which runs from 29 to 31 May 2020.

The short films will be screened on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2020 in the morning.

The Saturday will see a host of music-related socially uplifting films from across Africa will complement the diverse array of performances on stage.

On Sunday morning in the chilled atmosphere of The Barn, short African films focusing on social justice and related issues will be screened.

“This event aims to grow in size and stature over the years in line with the values of MTN Bushfire of tolerance, inclusion and diversity”, according to organisers.

Criteria

  • Films must have been made after 2016
  • Only short films under 30 minutes will be accepted
  • At least 50% of the core film team (director, producer) must be from Africa
  • Films must focus on key category themes
  • Films should have a message that upholds the values of MTN Bushfire: inclusion, diversity and tolerance.

There are no prizes for the films.
