Battle rapper Noble Stylz is a man who walks with his chest out and anyone who has followed him will know he has bars on top of bars.
And in the lockdown environment, with the live culture being staple he has challenged two of Zimbabwe’s hip hop cats Mudiwa Hood and Stunner plus three rappers of their choosing to a 5 on one battle.
And he is serious. He is putting a couple of thousand dollars in US dollars cash on the Facebook or Instagram Live-based battle and he says it is for the culture.
“Let’s do this. There is no real value in dropping singles all the time but 16 bars on video will get people talking. People will be picking bars for days and the culture will spread,” Noble said.
Not sure if Stunner was responding to this challenge but he tweeted:
Game yekupanana mafollower thru ma silly stunts ndakamira. Tangai mandipa mari ndozouya kuzotora imwe futi. Gadzirai music kana muchigona. (I am no longer into silly stunts to get followers. Pay me and I will show and get more money. Make good music is you’re dope)
Mudiwa has been silent.
Noble seems to have created an interesting situation here. They are damned if they do and lose and not so awesome if they do not take up.
And he is confident of winning saying, “I have been doing this for 14 years and never lost. I am not limiting who of the other three they can hire. They can eve hire Eminem if they want to. I will battle all five of them individually 16 bars each and winner takes all”.
