Napoleon Nyanhi is the new National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) director.

The trailblazer, who most recently was the Managing Director at Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation (JCMC), while also working as the Executive Director of the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA), walks into an organisaton needing a revamp.

The man is an innovator and did sexy-up the awards, so he will have a lot of goodwill to carry into his new role.

Nyanhi will however have to deal with an organisation which many find a little lethargic and outdated, especially with the evolving complexities of the world.

He takes over from Nicholas Moyo, who last year was bumped up to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Recreation, Arts & Culture.

The appointment as confirmed by the NACZ
