The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (Nacz) has changed the date for the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) Legends @40 ceremony.
The original date was set for 27 February 2021 but the Covid-19 induced lockdown has forced the organisers to push the date back.
The new date is 27 March 2021.
The news was confirmed by Nacz Director Nicholas Moyo, adding the decision was made for suppliers and event organisers to make up for downtime forced by the stringent lockdowns imposed on 5 January 2021 following a spike in Covid-19 infections and related deaths.
The initial lockdown period was meant to end on 3 February 2021 but was extended to 15 February 2021.
The ceremony this year will not be competitive but will honour arts legends from Zimbabwe
