MUSIC VIDEO REVIEW: Mokoomba – Makisi

Mokoomba dropped a new video on Friday night and straight off the bat, this right here is culturally-rich stuff.

It explores the oft-ignored and sometimes unannounced expression of the Luval people along the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe and Zambia.

That is also represented in their dancing and the clothing band members adorn themselves with.

And it is what you have come to expect when Vusa Blaqs Hlatshwayo puts his hand to work.

The rich tapestry colour which you can almost taste is a gem.

We would like to have seen more of the culture after the call at the start but there was enough to celebrate.
