Andy Muridzo is back and he is on a track with Tanzanian beauty Haitham Kim.
The track, Follow Me, comes from the burgeoning Passion Java Records stable.
Both artists sing in each others’ languages and their own which was a nice touch.
The song has Muridzo as a feature and so dances on Haitham Kim’s sound more than anything else.
The video is predicated on the idea of wooing for a lover through dance, which is common in some cultures, even in Zimbabwe. Andy Muridzo dances for Haitham and a bevy of girls for most of the song, until she follows him.
What you do feel, is, well his dancing gets a bit parochial at some point, not offering where it is supposed to go as a concept. It means that we see Andy gyrating and yeah, it is what it is.
Entertaining song though. A more classic feel sound, away from down the middle afro-pop stuff.
