Music duo FaB Fusion to debut new single in Harare this Saturday

The Zimbabwean musical duo FaB Fusion, comprised of Faith and Brennan Wyngard, are set to release a new single titled “Treble” this coming Saturday, March 30th, 2024. The energetic song featuring vocals from Tinashe Makura is a collaborative effort between the FaB Fusion duo, Tinashe Makura, Vanny Yafele, and producer Eden Lang.

FaB Fusion also performs as a four-piece band with Cole Rusike on drums and their son Vanny on lead guitar, both of whom contribute to the new single. The release of “Treble” will be celebrated with a live performance at the Farm at Art venue in Harare on the same day, March 30th.

Since their formation in 2012, FaB Fusion has become a fixture in the Harare music scene, known for blending various genres and styles. They collaborate frequently with other artists and bands, including FaB Ovation, with whom they released their chart-topping single “Chimdhudhudhu” in October 2021. Whether as a duo or a four-piece band, FaB Fusion performs extensively throughout Zimbabwe, including appearances at the Kariba International Tiger Fish Tournament in 2023.

The group actively seeks collaborations across genres, having performed with the late Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi at the Harare International Festival of the Arts in 2017, as well as with the Japanese group Iyco and Kaka Furaha. Their performance credits also include major Zimbabwean events like Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, Zimstock, and the Tumaini Festival, along with appearances in Malawi’s Tisangalare Festival and Victoria Falls.

The artists contributing to “Treble” are:

  • Faith Wyngard – Rhythm Guitar and Vocals
  • Tinashe Makura – Vocals
  • Brennan Wyngard – Bass Guitar
  • Vanny Yafele – Lead Guitar
  • Eden Lang – Recording Engineer and Effects

This new single follows a string of previous releases by FaB Fusion, including albums “Embrace” (2015) and “Mixed Bag” (2017) with FaB Ovation, the singles “Farai” (2017) featuring Iyco and Kaka Furaha, “Chimdhudhudhu” (2021) with FaB Ovation, and “Inzwai Munamato” (2023) featuring Tatoman and Allan Musarurwa.
