Model behind Munzara arrest lied about sex trafficking – report

The young model who was allegedly rescued from sex traffickers in Malaysia, Princess Mahlangu, allegedly concocted the whole story – apparently as a way to get home, according to The Citizen.

The whole affair resulted in the arrest of pageant director Tare Munzara as being part of a sex trafficking network. The Zimbabwean was later released.

Now it is being reported that the girl had been told that trip was off and made it anyway.

Police sources said there was no evidence of a crime and that Mahlangu had apparently misled the authorities.

Munzara pulled no punches over the matter:

I was vilified and named a Human Trafficker because some stupid model decided to lie.The media even kept on naming me as a a criminal . The story went viral and the South African Minister of Police Fikile Mbalula even further lied and so my name was dragged into disrepute being tagged as a criminal. The tables have turned, and its now our time because the Truth is out.

A case may be opened against her according to the Sunday World.
