Seems like controversy-ridden Miss World Zimbabwe Emily Kachote is still wearing her crown after all, as she is set to grace this year’s Commander Defence Forces Amateur Golf tourney to be heldat the Borrowdale Brook Golf Course.
Addressing a media briefing this morning the national chairperson of Musha Mukadzi Marry Chiwenga had earlier said only the two princesses will be at the function but later said they will be joined by the crowned queen Emily.
The presence of Emily Kachote at the charity event could be seen as a strong indication that the Trust is standing by their queen until investigations are over.
Musha Mukadzi is the beneficiary of the funds as they seek to save lives of cancer patients.
“Having realised that due to ignorance most cancer cases go undetected until at an advanced stage,leading to loss of lives, Musha Mukadzi’s drive for the year 2015-2016 is aimed at continued cancer awareness and prevention campaigns and early detection through screening,” said Mrs Chiwenga.
She also said that they had already purchased a CT- Scan for cancer screening and will go a long way in the detection of cancer which has robbed people of their loved ones.
Since her coronation on the 25th of April this year, this will be the first time Emily will be assuming her official duties despite a cloud of uncertainty hanging over her head.
Mrs Chiwenga who is also the chairperson of the Miss Zimbabwe trust said they are still investigating the alleged nude pictures saying she only spoke to Emily yesterday and a position is yet to be reached.
The trust which had earlier last week promised to deliberate on her fate is likely to take a long time until their verdict is out, if their actions are anything to go by.
