Jessie Majome, the Women’s Affairs, Gender and Community Development Deputy Minister who was challenging the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s right to demand licence fees has withdrawn her application from the Constitutional Court.
Majome did as much on Thursday after she challenged the public broadcaster on the basis of its alleged bias. Majome has said she will not pay the licence fees because the state media’s association with ZANU-pf.
The application was withdrawn without ZBC, the Media, Information and Publicity ministry and the Attorney General’s office responding to it.
