Lo’s Fest Gurus Launch Crowdfunding Campaign

ZiFM’s Lorraine Charlotte Bgoya who you may know as Lochnation or just Lo from the the Off The Wall Show she hosts with Danis ‘Dan’ Dube on Saturdays has launched a crowdfunding campaign along with her Fest Gurus buddies.

The campaign is to raise money for travel and accommodation costs for them to be able to shoot an episode in Lilongwe, Malawi during the City of Stars Festival which runs from September 27-29, 2013.

So you must be asking what the Fest Gurus are all about. It is an in-development show which Lo along with her co-presenter, Zambian, Mazuba Kapambwe, a radio correspondent for Australian based African inspired radio station Radio Afro will travel to your favourite Festivals across the continent to capture the epic moments there.

The pilot episode of The Fest Guru’s was shot in April- May during the Harare Festival of Arts Festival (HIFA) and comprises of segments like #FestMusic which features interviews with performing festival artists such as Tehn Diamond, The Monki Nuts and more. #FestStyle captures the best attendee street style, while #FestTips features advice on having an affordable, safe and fun festival experience.

Zimbabwean Ngonidzashe Chinhara and Gwinyai Mabikaof Crafted Media bring their film-making and directing experience to make up the Fest Guru team.
