Those are the opening words of an emotion-laden poetic piece by Aurra the Poet called Samanyanga written after the passing of the late iconic Oliver Mtukudzi.

Aura says she wrote the poem just after he passed away but she could not bring herself to release it a year ago. She instead dropped it on the first anniversary of Tuku’s death.

In the year before Aurra had performed at Tuku’s Solo Festival held annually at his Pakare Paye Arts Centre.
