Kanye West announces he is running for US presidency this year

Oh dude.

Rapper Kanye West has announced that he will be running for the presidency of the United States this November.

In a tweet he said:

We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION

The US is due to elect a new president with the incumbent Donald Trump representing the Republican Party while the presumptive nominee for the other mainstream party, the Democrats is Joe Biden.

It is a something of a massive swing from the controversial rapper who has gone from backing Trump recently to now saying he should be the right person to remove the incumbent.

Kany has bandied about the idea of running for president but that has always been assumed to be something from the future.

Well it appears as if he is all in.
