John Legend Harare Show Cancellation Statement

The organisers of the now-cancelled John Legend Harare show have released a statement.

If you remember, we were the first to release the news that the show had been cancelled yesterday. According to the ZiFM website, Davies Events released a statement provided by Big Concerts:

Due to unforseen(sp) logistical challenges in moving the show between Cape Town, Harare and the recently added Durban show, Big Concerts regrets to advise that John Legend’s Harare concert, scheduled for 19th November 2014 has been cancelled. The refund procedure for ticket holders will be advised in the local press and radio as well as on the local promoter’s website shortly. We will continue to support the Zimbabwe market and look forward to announcing the next International Artist scheduled to perform in Harare early 2015 in the next few weeks.” Full face value refunds will take place from Wednesday 1 October to Friday 3 October 2014 at Ster Kinekor, Sam Levy’s Village, Borrowdale.

Meanwhile Big Concerts has now announced an extra show in Johannesburg on the day that it was supposed to be held in Harare:

Oh well…
