Sir Sean Connery, most famous for his portrayal of sleuth James Bond has died.
The Scottish actor was the first to bring real global prominence to the Ian Fleming character, appearing in seven thrillers.
Sir Sean died in his sleep in the Bahamas, peacefully, having been unwell some time.
He was often regarded as the best actor to play the role of 007, ranking highly in regular polls.
He was an Oscar in 1988 for his role as an Irish cop in The Untouchables.
Sir Sean was knighted in 2000.
He was 90.
