It’s all about the vibe –  American rapper on working with local artists

It may sound like he is promoting his single and its accompanying video but for Gshytt, work is all about the vibe.

Gshytt, Tamy and Sean 2 Miles PIC: African Fire Media

Speaking in Harare where he worked with multiple artists and producers at Pablo’Z studios says it is all about the vibe.

Said Gshytt

If the vibe is right then we work

And from how the week has progressed it is easy to see. Having arrived a day after his producer Sean2Miles he came straight to the studio from the airport where after meeting a few people started laying vocals on the work.

By then a song with Tamy had already been worked on.

Accompanying him was his brother Young who also acts as his executive producer.

And it is that very same energy that got him to work so intimately with the children from Jairos Jiri.

Gshytt added:

I just needed to spend some time with them in the studio. When I heard the song we did first, I wanted to feel it first before I learnt the meaning. And when I got it, it was even more powerful.

The work is part of a project put together by fast rising entertainment outfit African Fire Media as part of its Xchange programme. This is the second time they have worked with Gshytt after the production of his video for the track Vibe Is Right shot in the Vumba this past January.

Other artists he has worked with from Zimbabwe are Bryan K, Delroy, Poptain, the kids from Jairos Jiri with production work also from Chiweddar, Mega T and St Emmo.
